Arina obtained her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, where she completed a double major and graduated with honors in Physics in 2024. During her time at Wellesley, she conducted research at Harvard Medical School and the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT. She discovered her passion for neuroscience through this work, a passion that was reflected in the theme of her senior thesis, “Opioid Use Disorder in Rat Models”. In 2025, she joined the Schaffer-Nishimura Lab at Cornell University. Her research focuses on the intersection of Alzheimer’s disease and menopause, as well as the development of novel imaging tools. In her free time, she is a columnist, writer, and photographer for the Arts & Culture section of The Cornell Daily Sun. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
