Aashna Kaur is a sophomore from Long Island, New York in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She is majoring in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior and a minor in Business. Aashna is also on the pre-med track, working to become a neurosurgeon after medical school.
Aashna’s research focuses on the mechanisms behind interstitial fluid flow and its implications in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. In addition to being a Research Assistant in the Schaffer-Nishimura lab, Aashna is a Research Analyst for the Cornell DEBUT biomedical engineering project team, the Vice President for Cornell’s Society for India, and the Treasurer for the Sikh Student Association on campus.
In her spare time, Aashna enjoys creating art pieces of wildlife, mostly with the use of acrylic paints and colored pencils
