Video Explorations

Dear Students,
In February 2004, I interviewed several lawyers, judges and academics in Paris, and created video clps of the interviews. I wanted to get their perspectives on different aspects of French law, and share their views with you.

It is a pleasure to present you with the "French Law in Action" component of the "Introduction to French law" seminar.

Global Lawyers

Because of the globalization of the capital, financial and industrial markets, large U.S. law firms with a network of foreign offices are no longer the exception but the norm. the lawyers in those firms provide a wide range of services relating to cross-border transactions and international arbitration and litigation. Several U.S. law firms have large offices in Paris. They are competing with U.K. and French firms.
